I’m Robert Sterling. If you’re reading this, chances are, you got here from Twitter, where I’m best known for finance memes and low-cost consulting.

I began my career at Koch Industries and Cargill, America’s two largest private companies, where I worked in corporate development and completed ~$10B in successful M&A transactions, startup investments, capital raises, and divestitures.

I have M&A and financial leadership experience in industries as diverse as energy, metals and mining, commodities trading, agriculture, food and beverage, manufacturing, SaaS, e-commerce and DTC, CPG, fintech, professional services, commercial real estate, and proptech.

What information should I provide ahead of the meeting?

Anything you think would be relevant and helpful—investment decks, CIMs, models, historical financials, marketing materials, or anything else on hand.

What size deals do you support?

No deal is too large or too small! In my career, I’ve advised pre-revenue companies and I’ve structured multi-$B M&A projects.

Can we email you additional questions later in the deal process?

Absolutely. I love getting to stay in touch throughout the full journey.

What if I need longer-term or more intensive support?

I love getting to support clients in any capacity needed. If a 60-minute meeting isn’t sufficient, we can absolutely structure a longer-term engagement to fit your needs.

Will you sign an NDA ahead of time?

100%. Please email me one ahead of the meeting. If you could send it via DocuSign (or a similar platform), that would be a huge help.

Even if we don’t sign a formal NDA, is everything confidential?
